This summer while we lived in Denver Brylinn loved sliding down the stairs on Logan and Hunter's lap. She would laugh the whole way down and just wanted them to do it over and over with her. But Hunter couldn't stand the carpet burns he was getting on his legs, so he came up with a solution...
Feetie Jammies!
Hunter game around the corner with her tucked in to them like a kangaroo pouch and we could not stop laughing and neither could she.
Then a few months later...
She walked around all day with that baby tucked into her Jammies.

Family Night
It is so hard to find activities out side the house that can keep all three of us entertained. But we finally found it.
It is just a warehouse type building with an endless line of trampolines. There were also giant foam pits you could jump into, a climbing wall then went up from a foam pit, huge inflatables and quarter machine rides. It was so nice when we went there too because we practically had the whole place to our selves. So we didn't have to worry about Brylinn getting trampled by older kids.
Brylinn ran around like she owned this place and Cody was doing back flips and gainers into the foam pits. Definitely one of our best family nights!

Snow Day
This first real snow came in November here in Utah. So we took the day off, went to the store to buy new snow gear and headed up the canyon to play in it.
At first she hated wearing the gloves. She had a complete melt down when we tried to put them on. So we just let her play with out them on. When her hands were beet red and freezing I tried again to put on the gloves. She must have quickly realized how warm they were because she put them on with out a fuss and left them on.
She loved her snowman and would give it kisses and hugs. She would not let Cody have his hat back. Any time he tried to take it she would freak out till it was safely back on the snowman head. She was so sad to leave her friend, as we were walking away she kept turning back around and running towards it.
She is just like her Dad, they love the snow and the cold doesn't faze them.

Halloween
Halloween was so fun this year. Brylinn totally understood it. She was not thrilled with the head piece to her costume but as soon as I explained to her that if she wore it she got candy, she couldn't get it on quick enough. It was so strange the weather was so nice the whole day. Ever since I was a kid I could almost always count on the first freezing snow storm to happen Halloween night. So that was a pleasant surprise.
We have three tradition we started the year we were married. The first one is matching costumes. I am a big fan of matching family costumes, so this year we all came from Sesame Street. Brylinn was Bird Bird, I was Elmo and Cody was Cookie Monster.
She loved trick or treating. She would knock on the door and they would hold out the bowl of candy to let her pick one. She would reach her hand in slowing, grab out one piece with a very suspicious face and put it in her bucket. I think she was just waiting for me to take it away from her and tell her she couldn't have it or something. But after a few doors she had it down.
I love this picture. They both have the exact same facial expression.
When we got home she was so excited to dump out her loot and start enjoying it.
The tootsie roll was by far her favorite.
The second tradition is carving pumpkins. Last year Brylinn sat in the snugglie while Cody carved the pumkin. This year she liked watching again but did not want to touch the "guts". That freaked her out.
The third tradition is caramel apples.
I love Halloween and I am pretty sure Brylinn made the cutest Big Bird ever.

Back in Utah
Well since my last post we have moved... again, celebrated 5 major holidays, took a 5 week vacation and Cody started classes for the Public Relation program at BYU!! Need less to say we have been busy. We moved back to Orem, Utah so Cody could continue school, but unlike any other semester we can finally see the end. He is on track to finish in 3 semesters, after this one.We are excited to be back in Utah. We found a great new basement apartment, it is bigger than any other place we have lived in and has tons of closet space. My sister drove out with Brylinn and I to find a place to live a few days before Cody came out with the truck. It was kind of stressful trying to find a place because if I didn't have a place for us to unload the truck when Cody arrived it was going to cost us a lot of money to keep the truck longer. So I did my research and had 7 or 8 appointment the first day we got into town. None of them were keepers, so the next day I did the same thing. After that day was almost over I was starting to get a little discouraged since Cody was only a day away. So I saw a sign for a apartment for rent and called on it. It was in the same area as our last one in Orem. It was nice but small, afraid I wasn't going to find anything better I signed the lease and handed over the money. As soon as I drove away I decided to check the classifieds one more time. A basement apartment had just been posted and it was $150 less per month than the apartment I had just signed on. I couldn't help myself, I called on it and scheduled an appointment to see it. As soon as I walked in I knew I had made a big mistake on signing that other lease. So before I left I told him I would take it and asked him when we could meet to sign the papers and pay the first months rent and deposit. After I left I called the owner of the other apartment but I couldn't get a hold of him. I called probably a hundred times. About 5 or 6 hours later I finally heard from him and he said he would give me my money back, just in enough time to meet with the other guy. So here we all. I am so glad it all worked out.
The man that lives upstairs in a "snowbird" and lives in St. George the majority of the time. We have so much closet space we cant even fill them all. The back yard has a pond that Cody has really enjoyed. He has stocked it with trout and a lot of goldfish. Him and Brylinn love spending time out there together snow or shine.

Peter Pan Park
So today we went up north to look for a house for Trent to live in and we found the coolest park I have ever seen. It was a Peter Pan park, we had to stop to let Brylinn play. Half the park were the streets of London and the other half was Never Never Land.
There was the London Bridge,
This was Big Ben (there was a big clock behind the post, and it rang just like in the movie. So it not only looked like it but it sounded like it too. So cool.)
And even the Darling house with Peter Pan in the window
Then on the other side of the park there was Caption Hook's Ship with a crocodile in the "water"
There was the Lost Boys treehouse, which Brylinn loved.
But her favorite part of the whole park was the Mermaid Lagoon. At first I thought I could just take her shoes off and she would play but I realized very quickly that if I wanted her to go back in the car with dry clothes I would have to take them off. So she ran around in her diaper proudly.
This also led into a little splash pad that she loved. The water would stop for a while and so she would get really close to it and stick her face over the hole with such curiosity wondering why it had stop. It was so funny to see how surprised she would get when it would spray back up.
She also met two friends, a little girl and a puppy that she would not leave alone
This kind of park is perfect for Brylinn because she finds swings boring and she cries every time we go down a slide. We both had so much fun, I am so glad that we got one more really fun park day in before it gets freezing.

Brylinn turned 1!!!
Our baby turned 1 on September 3rd. I can't believe how fast time has flown.
Here is a recap of the past year...
One day old
1 week old
3 weeks old
1 month old
2 months old
3 months old
4 months old
5 months old
6 months old
7 months old
8 months old
Taking this picture was crazy. My sister and I were just trying to make her stand there to get a cute picture of her in her new outfit. So we had our cameras out and I stood her up and backed up. Then before I knew it she was walking towards me. It was crazy, we couldn't believe it. There had been no signs that she was even close to walking. So we hurried and switched our phones over to video and got some of her first steps. She was only 11 months and 2 days old. Its so cute to see such a tiny little person waddling around.
1 YEAR OLD!
I can't believe how fast she has changed. She went from this tiny 7lb baby to this big girl with such a cute and sassy personality.
We spent her actually birthday down in Mesa with our Eddington family and had a little early birthday party in Colorado Springs with our Taylor family before we left for Mesa.
At the early party we just invited a few friends and family for a BBQ, cake and ice cream.
She was so cute she would open a present and then hold it up with excitement in front of her face.
Beth and I spent hours the night before working on this. Half way through we thought it was a failure, only finishing it because we had already invested so much of our time. Which I am glad we did because it really turned out pretty good.
She also had a little cake just for her. She dung into this cake so dainty. She would just poke it with one finger and then lick her finger. When she decided it was good she dug right in.
These are pics from her actually birthday down in Mesa.
The day started off with Grandma bringing her home 3 balloons which were a hit, she carried them around for days...
**Cute outfit made by Aunt Beth
Then she rode the rocking horse and when that didn't satisfy her anymore we took her to ride a carousel at the mall.
But I think her favorite part of the day was when we took her and bought her a new pair of walking shoes. She would have walked around the mall all day if we let her. She would just walk back and forth past the stores. We passed a ton of stores and she had no interest in going inside any of them till... we got to Victoria Secrets. She tried to walk in and I would turn her around hoping that she would forget about it, but she didn't. She tried to go in there 3 or 4 times till I finally picked her up and walked her away and of course she cried till it was out of sight.
Then when we got back home she blew (well tried) out her candle on a cherry cheese cake. She did the cutest thing, when we told her she could eat her piece of cake she bent down and put her face in it. Then we showed her that her fingers were easier.
Happy Birthday to my beautiful baby Brylinn.
