She is her fathers child

Brylinn is to the age where she is going to have a taste of whatever you are eating.  So if you don't want to share you better eat behind closed doors.  This morning it was a smoothie, which is her favorite.  When she got a hold of it she was not giving it up.

She has already mastered Cody's "caught" face

And this is what happened when I was finally able to free my breakfast from her death grip....

The other day I was eating a bread stick from Olive Garden, I had cut it into five bit size pieces.  Brylinn watched me eat the first four pieces as if she was a starving child.  When I went to put the fifth piece in my mouth she looked at the plate and then look at me knowing it was the last piece and lost it.  I pulled it away from my mouth and she stopped crying. Then started it toward my mouth again and she starting screaming again, and as soon as I pulled it away from my mouth she was fine.  So I finally let her have a lick.  That must have been all she wanted because after that she let me eat the last piece in silence.

Shorts in Feburary!

The other day was so beautiful outside so we decided to go on a little walk to the park. Brylinn loves being outside and she now loves the park.

She went down the slide with dad

They apparently don't make these slides for grown men. As you can see Codys legs have to hang over the side for them to move around the corners.

She tried the swing for the first time.

And Cody tried the swing for the first time in a decade...

But out of everything her favorite thing was the Bubbles! She was so cute, every time one would pop on her skin I would say "pop" and she would giggle. Her laugh is so contagious, it is my favorite sound ever.

2 1/2 year update

So its been about 2 and a half years since my last post, I thought I was pretty much done with the blog forever. I'm not! Now that I have Brylinn, I can't help but share all the funny and cute things she does. Plus this gives me a place to Journal everything for her. I am going to try to post once a week, lets see how it goes.

So a recap of the last 2 1/2 years...
1. We have lived in Utah County almost that whole time. A year and a 1/2 in a basement apartment in Highland and the past year in a condo in Orem.

2. Cody finished his Associates at LDS Business College and has been going to BYU for about a year now. He finally picked a major in communications with a minor in Portuguese.

3. He just signed to do summer sales for his 4th summer with Edge Pest Control in Denver. After the past 2 years of selling here in Utah County it's going to be quite the move. But in the mean time he is working at Security Metrics doing PCI Compliance.

4. And of course we had our baby girl, Brylinn Laraine Eddington on September 3rd 2010. She was a healthy 18 inches long and 7 pounds.

Her are some of Brylinns First!

1. For her first Halloween we were a family of Jack-O Lanterns

2. Brylinns first Christmas...
  • We read the Christmas Story in Luke and the Night before Christmas
  • We opened Christmas Jammies on Christmas Eve
  • We went and saw Santa Clause
Brylinn got a mobile for her crib, lots of clothes and hair bows, a cabbage patch doll and a lot of toys.

This was the extent of Brylinn opening her presents. She just laid there and smiled.

Brylinn finally got to meet Grandpa Taylor

Cody and I got to go snowboarding at Brianhead while my parents watched Brylinn.

We had a really great Christmas.  Holidays are so much more fun with kids.

3. Brylinn was blessed in St. George by Cody.

It was so great to have so much family there, you could tell there was a lot of love in one room for such a little girl.

Brylinn is now 5 1/2 months. I can't believe how fast she has grown up. I took dinner to a family in my ward last night who had just had a baby and I can't believe they come out that small. Brylinn it so big now it's hard to remember when she was that tiny. She is topping the charts for both height and weight. She is the best thing that has ever happened to Cody and I. We are both so grateful for such a happy and healthy little girl in our home.
