Halloween was so fun this year. Brylinn totally understood it. She was not thrilled with the head piece to her costume but as soon as I explained to her that if she wore it she got candy, she couldn't get it on quick enough. It was so strange the weather was so nice the whole day. Ever since I was a kid I could almost always count on the first freezing snow storm to happen Halloween night. So that was a pleasant surprise.
We have three tradition we started the year we were married. The first one is matching costumes. I am a big fan of matching family costumes, so this year we all came from Sesame Street. Brylinn was Bird Bird, I was Elmo and Cody was Cookie Monster.
She loved trick or treating. She would knock on the door and they would hold out the bowl of candy to let her pick one. She would reach her hand in slowing, grab out one piece with a very suspicious face and put it in her bucket. I think she was just waiting for me to take it away from her and tell her she couldn't have it or something. But after a few doors she had it down.
I love this picture. They both have the exact same facial expression.
When we got home she was so excited to dump out her loot and start enjoying it.
The tootsie roll was by far her favorite.
The second tradition is carving pumpkins. Last year Brylinn sat in the snugglie while Cody carved the pumkin. This year she liked watching again but did not want to touch the "guts". That freaked her out.
The third tradition is caramel apples.
I love Halloween and I am pretty sure Brylinn made the cutest Big Bird ever.

Back in Utah
Well since my last post we have moved... again, celebrated 5 major holidays, took a 5 week vacation and Cody started classes for the Public Relation program at BYU!! Need less to say we have been busy. We moved back to Orem, Utah so Cody could continue school, but unlike any other semester we can finally see the end. He is on track to finish in 3 semesters, after this one.We are excited to be back in Utah. We found a great new basement apartment, it is bigger than any other place we have lived in and has tons of closet space. My sister drove out with Brylinn and I to find a place to live a few days before Cody came out with the truck. It was kind of stressful trying to find a place because if I didn't have a place for us to unload the truck when Cody arrived it was going to cost us a lot of money to keep the truck longer. So I did my research and had 7 or 8 appointment the first day we got into town. None of them were keepers, so the next day I did the same thing. After that day was almost over I was starting to get a little discouraged since Cody was only a day away. So I saw a sign for a apartment for rent and called on it. It was in the same area as our last one in Orem. It was nice but small, afraid I wasn't going to find anything better I signed the lease and handed over the money. As soon as I drove away I decided to check the classifieds one more time. A basement apartment had just been posted and it was $150 less per month than the apartment I had just signed on. I couldn't help myself, I called on it and scheduled an appointment to see it. As soon as I walked in I knew I had made a big mistake on signing that other lease. So before I left I told him I would take it and asked him when we could meet to sign the papers and pay the first months rent and deposit. After I left I called the owner of the other apartment but I couldn't get a hold of him. I called probably a hundred times. About 5 or 6 hours later I finally heard from him and he said he would give me my money back, just in enough time to meet with the other guy. So here we all. I am so glad it all worked out.
The man that lives upstairs in a "snowbird" and lives in St. George the majority of the time. We have so much closet space we cant even fill them all. The back yard has a pond that Cody has really enjoyed. He has stocked it with trout and a lot of goldfish. Him and Brylinn love spending time out there together snow or shine.
