Summer!

Summer has officially begun. Not because it's hot but because Cody has started selling again. Weather is such a variable each year but moving and living the summer salesmen life has been pretty constant for us. This is his 5th summer selling pest control and our 2nd summer in Denver. Its crazy to think how far we have come since that first summer so long ago in Houston. Cody is already doing so good. He has only sold for 2 days and is already at 8 sales. Cody is more motivated this summer than I have ever seen. I am so grateful for him, how hard he works and that this works for us. We receive so many blessing because of this job and we wouldn't trade it for anything.

So while Cody is gone practically ALL day Brylinn and I have to find things to do to stay busy. I am sure the summer will be filled with lots of picnics, walks and Popsicles just like today was.

Blogging from the I phone

So excited about this little app. Hopefully I will be a better blogger now that I don't have to boot up the computer, email the pics from my I phone, save the pics and so on. So as I sit here learning how to work this new app and as I am working on older posts Brylinn has done this to her room...

Easter

Easter was so much fun this year.  We got to go down to St. George and enjoy being around a lot of family and little friends for Brylinn.  It was also my Birthday that weekend so it was fun to spend that with family as well.  My Aunt Mary is the best, she throws all the holiday parties for the kids and she has for years.  It was so fun for me to watch Brylinn enjoy something I used to enjoy so much as a kid. The party was the day before Easter. There were five stations each kid got to go to.  The first was digging for treasure.  The sand box was full of different toys and treats. 



The next one was decorating sugar cookies, Brylinn ate hers before she even started to think about decorating it.  Then they moved on to coloring easter eggs, we skipped this one.  After that was this fish pond.  Of course Brylinn loved this one and totally understood the concept, since she has had her own fishing pool since before she could sit up by herself.  She went back to it a few times.  The last event was the Easter egg hunt.  She wanted to thoroughly inspect each egg before moving on to find the next egg. 

It was such a fun day and we are so grateful for Aunt Mary who puts so much time, money and her energy into these parties.

The next morning was Easter Sunday.  As a little girl I always woke up to a new Easter dress and I loved it, so I figured I would carry on the tradition.  Brylinn was so excited when she woke up and found her Easter basket and realized she got to hunt for eggs all over again. 



Then we got ready and walked to church. 

Cody took Brylinn and the Boys to go fly her new easter kite on the golf course behind my Grandparents house.  

I am so grateful each day for my Savior and his atoning sacrifice, and I am so glad that we have a whole day to dedicate to him and what he has done for us.  I love my Savior.
