Cody turned 27 this year! Since his birthday fell on a work day he went out and sold his 4 accounts and then came home to a gigantic birthday cake. Bethanie and I decided bigger the better on this one. Cody requested no fondant so since we couldn't really do anything super fancy, we just went BIG.
After he was done selling all the salesmen were playing basketball, so we took the cake too
the church, since we figured there was enough to share. Most of the cakes we make are way to much actually cake to eat, but this one was so delicious that every single piece was eaten.
So for Cody's main birthday present he got to fulfill one of things he has been wanting to do for a long time. Get a boat and be able to go with his whole family. So we also got to go down to AZ and he took a day off work, and spent the whole weekend playing (which he deserved after the last couple months of dedicated selling). The only person out of the whole Eddington family that couldn't make it was Max, who was in Alaska for the summer.
Brylinn was being so silly and wanted to travel in Dads' new bag the whole way to AZ. We could not get her out of that thing. She didn't even freak out when we zipped her up in it.
Brylinn was just like her Dad, they were both up hours before the sun and hours before anyone else. Lake, snowboarding and fishing days are about the only day Cody is up early enough the see the sunrise.
The lake was sooo much fun. It was filled with surfing, wake boarding, a lot of tubing, cliff jumping and lots of chips. It was a little stressful getting it all sorted out and everyone there, but we all had a blast. The kids were so good, and the babies just fell asleep on my lap when they got too tired. This was the perfect birthday for Cody!
That weekend we also got to hear Joey's farewell talk, have a Flake style party at the Gibbons for him and say goodbye to him before he reported to the MTC to serve in the Odgen,Utah mission. His talk was so awesome, it was so spiritual and interesting with just the right amount of laughs. It really showed me how lucky the people of Odgen are, because he is going to be an incredible missionary. Although we are sure going to miss he strange sense of humor and joy for the next two years.

Cody then had to go fly home to get back to work and I stayed a few extra days. I went over to my parents house and got to visit with them for a few days.
This is Brylinn in all her glory first thing in the morning. This picture just cracks me up. If I let her this is how Brylinn would look most of the time, a dress night gown and her hair undone.
Then the last day we went back over to Cody's parents house because Zoey was getting baptized. It was awesome how we got to pack all these fun family events into one week. I am so glad we got to be there, Brylinn worships Zoey. I am glad Brylinn has a older girl cousin that is setting a great example for her to watch. After the baptism we had ice cream back at the house with everyone that was there. It was so fun to watch Brylinn run around and hang out with her cousins. It reminded me of when I was a little girl and loved going to my Grandparents house and getting to play outside with my cousins. I can't wait to move to AZ so Brylinn can enjoy this all the time. She followed Brooklyn and Zoey around the whole time and just listened so intently to there little conversation.
That night Grandpa Eddington build Brylinn a tent, and I got to see where Cody learned his tent skills first hand. Neither one of them just throw a blanket over chair like I do. They really go all out, and Cody's tents are exactly like his Dads. They both make it way bigger than I would, and it comes fully equipment with a movie and flashlight. She loved it.
We found Josslyn and Brylinn had snuck into Aunt Rachael's makeup bag. Sneaky little girls, but they did look soo cute. I am sure it wont be the first time those two get into mischief together.
After a week of playing it was time to go home to Cody. The Sky Harbor Airport has this big play area for kids and it was right next to our gate. It was awesome to let Brylinn burn off some energy before we got on the flight.
The week was awesome. I am so glad Cody got a weekend off, it was just what he needed so he could get back to focusing on selling. Brylinn and I got to see what June in AZ looks like. Doesn't look good, Brylinn hated it worse than me. She has never once cried when its raining or snowing, but every time we went outside this week she cried till we got back inside. Looks like when we move down there we better get a pool to keep the girls happy! We had so much fun with all the family events and just hanging out. We can't wait to be able to move down there and not have to travel so far to see our families, but for now it is a good little get away.
